Welcome to Our Website! Take a look around and get in touch today!
At Rangers we follow a varied and exciting programme of activities. You will have the opportunity to learn many new things and earn lots of badges. These really vary from sports, camping and navigating to vlogging, baking and making. There really is something for everyone and we love being able to develop your individual interests. You shape what we do as a unit and you will have plenty of opportunities to lead for yourself! Rangers also earn an anniversary badge for each year they are a member of Girlguiding.
"I promise that I will do my best, to be true to myself and develop my beliefs, to serve the King and my community, to help other people and to keep the Guide law."
The Girlguiding Promise falls at the centre of all we do. It is one of the many features that separates Rangers from a youth club. It helps us to think about our values, beliefs and opinions and how we can get out and help in the community. After you have been at Rangers for a little while, you will have the opportunity to make your promise at a special event or occasion of your choosing. You will then receive your promise badge.
The Guide Law outlines how we should act and help others at Rangers, in our local community and beyond. You will have lots of opportunities to serve the community, as a Ranger, and should expect to have the chance to help at all sorts of exciting events!

The Girlguiding programme is built around 5 key themes. All girls, across Girlguiding sections, work towards badges that align with each of these themes. When you have earned certain interest badges and completed certain activities in our unit meetings, you will receive a theme award for the relevant theme. When you have collected all 5 theme awards and have completed the extra Gold challenge, you will be awarded with your Gold Ranger award; this is the highest award you can get as a Ranger. It is an achievement to be very proud of!
At Rangers you can complete whichever interest badges you would like! You can select these from the Rangers Record book. You must provide evidence to your leaders to receive the badge. You can simply bring in what you've been working on or send us over some photographs and explanations. There is also the option for you to tell us about what you have done, alongside photographs, if writing isn't your strong point. There are so many ways to present these badges. You can read about the different ways you can approach them in the record book.
We often get asked about where to put badges, so here are some handy placement suggestions for displaying them on your uniform! We encourage all of our Rangers to display they badges smartly on their uniforms. Fun/challenge badges can go on the back of your top.
Many Rangers also choose to put some their badges on a blanket. You could put them with your Rainbows, Brownies and Guides Badges. You only need to display the country (GB) badge on your arm if you are going on an international trip.
You can use any blanket you like for your badges. You can get the official Girlguiding blanket here:
