We encourage young women aged 14-18 to volunteer with us as Young Leaders. As a young leader you will develop your leading and planning skills as well as growing in your confidence! You will have the chance to work towards Girlguiding's Young Leader qualification, all while helping to facilitate a safe, fun and adventurous space for our girls. 

Do I have to be a member of Girlguiding to become a young leader?

No! Although you can be both a Ranger and a young leader, you don't have to be! You don't even have to have been a Rainbow, Brownie or Guide before. We actively encourage new members to join us. 

Why should I become a young leader?

As a young leader, you will help girls to participate in exciting activities, go on trips and build their confidence. It is so rewarding to see and having been a young leader looks great on your personal statement, CV or other applications!
