Anyone! There’s no requirement to have been involved in guiding before, and we’ve got lots of opportunities for young people too.
Get involved from the age of 13 upwards – as a young leader, for your DofE or as a peer educator. We’ve got roles to suit all ages and interests.
Plus, becoming a role model doesn't need a full-time commitment – there are all sorts of flexible ways to get involved. Parents looking to volunteer at their local unit could join a parent rota or help share a skill or passion. We also welcome students and teenagers looking for a volunteer opportunity to build their CV and develop skills for the future.
Whether you want to help behind the scenes, at special events, or get involved every week, there’s loads of ways to inspire girls with Girlguiding.
By volunteering with us, you’ll be helping girls build their confidence, have adventures and learn new skills. It doesn’t matter what your experience or background is, or how much time you have.
Plus, volunteering for Girlguiding is a great way of meeting new people and taking a break from your daily routine. You can also build your own skills by taking our leader development programme, becoming a first aider or qualified outdoor activity instructor. Whatever it is you’re looking for, there’ll be something in it for you.
